My philosophy

Photography is writing with light, It goes beyond pressing the camera's shutter release button. Jean-Rivel Fondjo

A little about me

Jean-Rivel Fondjo is an African photographer. He doubles as an art and commercial photographer. He works and resides in Ghana.

His father taught him photography via writing technics; and later started practicing it as a hobby before getting formal training from courses organized by the College of Art and Social Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana and later enrolled in The Photography Institute in London, UK.

He has gained recognition with his personal view of framing, composition, colour, contrast and design.

His art photographs proceed from an organized form, a concept and an image is immortalized. With the advent of digital photography, sometimes his works are manipulated with the other hand of the camera which is the computer. The end product is what he calls his style.

Presently, Fondjo runs a vibrant photography Photo studio at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana. He trains students mostly from West African Schools and Universities who are interested in learning the craft of photography.
